    This is a great well-rounded workout. I really enjoy it. It challenges me and makes me feel graceful. Jessica has a wonderful energy – very positive and encouraging. And Peanut! OMG. So cute!

    This was a workout day for me instead of rest because I did not get as many workouts in during the week. I always laaahovve this workout. The combination of toning, dance, and stretch makes me feel leaner and longer and so sweaty! Thanks Jessica and Peanut. See you tomorrow.

    This workout has been the toughest one for me out of all of them…and I am a former ballerina (well, 40 years ago) : ) I just love the variety of your workouts because it forces me to try things I otherwise wouldn’t. So grateful I found you!

    I never took ballet before, so it was fun to actually learn what the ballet terms mean. I just pretended that I looked as graceful as you are! I’ve really enjoyed the variety of workouts with you!!

    Day 24, I LOVE THIS WORKOUT! I am so happy this was part of the challenge. I’ve always wanted to have a go at ballet and these ballet inspired moves were awesome. I really felt strong completing this workout. I can feel myself getting stronger and leaner, it’s so exciting!!

    I entered this challenge for the workouts, not for the giveaway. So even though Jessica’s email said that the winner will be my random drawing rather than check ins, I’m finishing through this challenge because it’s what I set out to do and what I need to do. However, I took a few days off because we had to put our darling Bichon dog to sleep. This video was so bittersweet, because my Bichon licked the sweat from my brow during the floor work of all of these videos so far. I missed him with today’s video. This was a great workout, it made my heart feel good, thank you. Sending love to you and Peanut. xo

    I moved things around a bit so I just did this one today. I’ve been curious about it since the challenge was announced because I’ve never done ballet. It was a good one! I could see it really wiped Peanut out. Thanks. So sad we only have one day left, I’ve made some much progress. Before finding your workouts, my exercise routine consisted only of walking 3-5 miles a day. I’m enjoying the variety of workouts and the focus on different areas. So glad I found you, Jessica and Peanut.

    All out of synch with my workouts and check-ins this week! Completed day 24 on day 26 yesterday, which was this fab ballet inspired workout. My ballerina days as a kid only lasted one day so it’s great to pretend I could have made it on swan lake! 🙂

    I was a little scared to try this, but I finally was able to do it today – too sore yesterday! It was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. What I found most difficult was holding the leg parallel, lifting it, bending it,circling it (very hard) and keeping it up for a great length of time at the beginning of the workout. This was very hard on my lower back. I managed to keep up though! After that the workout flowed very nicely. And, of course, Peanut, is always very entertaining. Thanks for all your ballet knowledge and your wonderful tips as always, Jessica!

    Swapped Day 24 and Day 25. I usually don’t like working out in the morning (I prefer late afternoon), but I did this one morning and liked it so much that it didn’t matter that it was so early 🙂

    I had to rearrange this workout a little because of time constraints, but it was worth the wait. I studied ballet for over 20 years as a kid and even took some lessons a year ago at age 65. I absolutely love this workout. I get a kick out of Peanut…cute pup! Thanks Jessica.

    Ok, so I made it through. I couldn’t completely participate though, I overdid it on the stairs a couple of days ago and now my calves are on fire and my knee gives out a bit. Plus, I haven’t been sleeping very well, definitely not 100%. I would love to come back and try it again when I am, I like these barre workouts. Question, does anyone know how to count this for WW activity points?

    I positively hate ballet workouts. My back is screaming, I feel like a moron doing all these ‘graceful’ moves and I want to scream out loud, too. On top of all that, it is the longest routine of the whole challenge. Surprisingly, I love the floor barre, but I love all matwork and would like to have more floor workouts. It was really stressful, but I pulled through.

    I absolutely love (and miss) dance. I am going to find me a class soon! This workout was one of my favs. Very tough though my legs and abs are stronger than when this challenge started but my body is tired. 4 days left to go and then I am taking a few stretch days. 😀 This is so great!

    Day 24: 1/29/14– Ballet Burn DONE!! Thank you Thank you!! I can’t rave enough about this workout. I am 67 and not an exerciser but had gotten in shape and then the past 2 years not done anything, so my calves, thighs, hips, gluts have been weak and sore and achy. I began this JessicaSmithTV 28-day challenge because of how weak and uncommitted I felt; I thought it would get me started, and stronger. Though I’ve done it all, my form and strength have not been great and I’ve still felt achy.

    I am a clutz and a artist, NOT a ballerina. I would NEVER have thought of doing this type of exercise. I skimmed and saw it was kind of gentle like yoga stretching. When I did the 52-minutes, It was the most wonderful movements for my calves, thighs, hips, gluts… Challenging, but this was my most favorite of all the exercises, and I was smiling while doing it, knowing these movements will heal and strengthen my legs. I think I want to be a ballerina when I grow up!!

    Jessica, you are a master of all trades, such variety every day has been a joy to experience, thank you!

    OK, since this one had no verbal cues, I did the Cardio Ballet and the Ballet Body Bar workouts instead. It got tough after awhile, but I feel I did an adequate replacement. Going to check out what’s up for tomorrow to see if I have to make other adjustments! Feeling my big leg muscles like crazy after the last few days!

    I would never thought that I am gonna sweat as much.. Loved every minute! I would love you to make some ballet abs workout.

    I like this workout but unfortunately I often do not 50 minutes to workout. I often can’t keep up because I have to go slower due to back knees. I can’t believe the challenge is almost done.

    I have to admit I have a hard time with any workouts over 30 minutes because I use my lunch break and I can’t do it at once but thanks again. I loved the moment talking about the soreness of calves tomorrow…apparently I am a little sore from earlier this week…ha ha congrats to me I already feel it!

    Day 24 has been completed. As always, the time went by fast – you are so good at that, Jessica! I have to admit I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I really, really LOVE most of the workout. However, there are 2 or 3 things that I couldn’t do (like some of the chair-leg extension with weights) and I was unsure how to modify or substitute. But, overall, it was a good workout for me.

    This is a hard one. Is it normal that my standing leg gets more worn out than the working leg? It’s shaking and cramping in the end. I was “about as elegant as a chicken leg” (a line from some figure skating movie)

    day 24 done. this has been, by far, one of my favourites of this challenge! i added the floor barre at the end = LOVE! so innovative and the music was awesome. it’s particularly great for us physically challenged ex-dancers. the moves (for both workouts) = challenging and empowering. thanks!

    Day 23 Done. I love this workout, even if the time of it challenges me. My body always feels worked and stretched and I am so glad I do get better each time I do it. Great work everyone. I am now going to do 10 Minute (13) Quick Stretch.

    I thought this would be a good workout for today – I stressed my right shoulder yesterday. Nope, still hurts. And I’m getting a cold??!! I haven’t had a cold in years!! Hopefully I’ll be able to do HIIT tomorrow – might have to modify a bit if my shoulder is still ouchy. (I LOVE the kickboxing workout scheduled for Friday – can’t wait!!)

    I enjoyed this more than I was expecting. I’m learning to trust your judgment more than my own when it comes to my daily routines. 🙂 Thank you from the frozen tundra of the northeast.

    Week 4/Day 24 Completed: I was dreading this workout initially because of it’s length but I feel energized and empowered now. I am going to do an additional 10 minute routine with my resistance band for fun. 🙂

    Day 24 off the list. Those chair leg extension were not easy and both my legs were burning. The seated twist was very painful on my bum(maybe I didn’t do it right). I persevered thru the burn and completed the bent knee circles and tried to do the seated twists to my threshold limit. Excellent cardio and toning. Thanks Jessica.

    work out all done! my glutes are on fire! oh gosh. I did some extra stretches for my lower half. I have done this work out a few times before. I really feel it in my hips, buns, and thighs. It’s awesome. I wish I would’ve taken before and after pic’s. I didn’t even think about it. I actually have definition in my upper body. I need to lose about 5 more lbs and I should be good. My tummy has some lose skin. I’m sure I won’t be able to do anything about that. At my age, who cares??

    And I am done…woo-hoo! Looks like you had Peanut positively hypnotized with those leg circles on the barre. Speaking of the barre section “holy smokes!” my lower body section really felt the burn on that one. I didn’t know I could look forward to the cardio section afterwards so much! And as usual, Peanut really had me giggling toward the end, a combination of her comic timing and the endorphins, I guess.
    I just started taking a liquid iron supplement (I need it!) and hopefully the next time I do this workout again I won’t have to pause as much (in my defense, one of those pauses was due to my Internet service losing connection). Something to work toward in future…

    Week 4 Day 3 completed. I did cardio ballet today. My balance is much better and my energy level has increased tremendously. and so far lost 5 lbs. You are doing a great job Jessica. Keep up the great work. (Hadn’t been motivated in a year. now all smiles)

    My legs were still aching a bit from yesterday, but managed to get most of this one done…a lot harder than I thought. Jessica, you looked so elegant and graceful doing everything, I got a quick look at myself in the mirror and almost died laughing, then to top it all, even wee Peanut looked more graceful than me doing her crawl! I am going to add this into another day next week when I am starting from week 1 again, so hopefully I can finish it then! Loving every workout.

    I really enjoyed this barre routine. I have done a couple of the shorter ones and thought this one would wear me out.     This workout was a little tricky at first because I was so sore from the past two workouts, but I was able to catch up. I did have to break a few times for the baby, but I kept it moving. Day 24 done! Losing pounds and inches! 🙂

    Week 4 Day 3 done in combination with Day 2 Cardio Boogie, had no time to do the workout yesterday as I was at work almost the whole day yesterday.     Absolutely love, love, love this workout. This is another one that I am going to put into my regular routine, once this challenge it over. Thank you again Jessica for bringing workouts that are different. This is also good for me because the cardio is low intensity.

    What an apt title for this workout – BALLET BURN. A wonderful combination of graceful and elegant ballet moves (though I probably looked clumsy compared with Jessica) combined with some burning toning and strengthening. An invigorating start to my day.

    Well, I always preview to see what to expect… Disappointed that this one has no verbal cuing. Will have to swap out the ballet cardio and perhaps another since this is a long video! Oh well.

    Hi Jessica, I must admit I didn’t do this today…..but I have a good reason…….because the mailman brought your new DVDs to me and I couldn’t resist!! (Yes, at least one set is in Australia now!) I did Barre Fitness Cardio Ballet this morning and sweated far more than I thought I would! I have never been a dancer but this made me feel like one, and I loved it! Sooooo much fun! I think my daughter would love this too so I think I’ll get her out of bed to do it with me next time. I only have time for one this morning, but can’t wait to try the other soon! Walk On also looks fab and I am really looking forward to trying it, especially Stride & Strength as I love weights (insert excited jig here!). Yippee! I feel GREAT!! 🙂 Thanks a zillion!

    Finished this workout and I’m so glad that I’ll pause tomorrow. I’m sure I can’t move a muscle tomorrow. 😉 But even if I couldn’t lift my legs really high and couldn’t do all the repetitions I liked this one.

    The last routine, sitting on the tailbone and turning the legs from side to side was an element of one of the first workouts of this challenge, wasn’t it? Three weeks before I simply couldn’t do this move but today I managed a couple of repetitions. Not all of them, but… hey, I’m a little bit proud of myself. 🙂

    My favorite!! I feel barre workouts really get deep into the muscle to tone, tighten, and stretch all at the same time!! I plan on purchasing your barre dvd very soon, and I can’t wait to try it!! Thanks so much Jessica 🙂

    I’m amazed at how much easier this one was after my first attempt a few months ago – goes to show that all the challenge work is paying off, especially the metabolic muscle training! Doesn’t mean I didn’t get my sweat on but my legs weren’t as fatigued as they used to be and I made it through using 5 pound weights without a problem. LOVED Peanut’s downward (or upward?) dog at the end! Thanks again Jessica! 🙂

    I am doing this one a day early because I had more time this morning. I really like this workout! I have never had a ballet lesson, but these kinds of workouts make me feel so graceful (even if I probably don’t look it!). And I’m sure I’ll feel it tomorrow.

    Swapped this one with day 22’s workout as I have my eldest starting school tomorrow and wont get the time for a 52 min workout. This was great. I was dreading it a bit due to the length but the time flew and I sweated A LOT! Thanks JESSICA – day 22 done X

    Day 24 swapped with Day 21. Ballet Burn emphasis on the BURN. My favorite move was the one using the chair and reaching your arm down and through with the weight while lifting your back leg up. Yesterday I commented that cardio core fusion flow was my favorite but this is tied!

    Had to move this longer workout so I could do it on the weekend. It was very challenging! There were times I couldn’t do the arms and legs, so I just did one or the other. But I did get the workout done, and that was a great accomplishment for me!

    Burn is right. Graceful, doubt it, but kept moving. Loved Peanut’s little stretching crawl toward the end. She’s definitely got graceful stretching down! Great workout as always.

    Love all of the Ballet Barre workouts, and this one is my favorite! I haven’t made it all the way through yet, but I will one of these days! Can’t wait to buy the Ballet Barre DVD when I get some spare cash in February!!

    loving this site but some of the videos sound system is not too good. the music becomes so loud that cannot hear your instructions so have to really concentrate on watching and doing the moves rather than listen and do. please solve this problem as i really want to try some of the workouts but have to turn off and try another just so i can hear you.
